PROJECT DESCRIPTION: “Kiriko” meaning “facet” in Japanese, I was inspired by origami and the use of faceted planes to make up the different forms. Each piece in the set is inspired by a different type of Japanese fold and alludes to the different forms and application. I used 3D printing to fabricate a few of the bowls and used the print to create a plaster mold.
